Con Air 2 picks up the story years after Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) was finally reunited with his family. Working as a security consultant for the U.S. Marshals, Poe is forced back into action when a high-risk prisoner transport flight, called “Con Air 2,” is hijacked mid-flight by a group of mercenaries led by a ruthless genius (played by a new antagonist, possibly John Malkovich, who returns as Cyrus Grissom’s long-lost brother).
When Poe discovers that his own daughter, now an FBI agent, is aboard the flight, the mission becomes personal. As chaos erupts at 30,000 feet, Poe battles waves of lethal criminals, using his military training and brute strength to outwit the hijackers. In a shocking twist, one of the prisoners turns out to be a former ally from the original film, who helps Poe regain control of the plane. The film ends with a dramatic emergency landing and a final showdown, leading to an intense confrontation that redefines the meaning of aerial justice.
